Nell Salzman is a reporter with the Chicago Tribune, who specializes in immigration and education.

She is originally from Denver, Colorado and attended Brown University. She previously worked at KTNA radio in Talkeetna, Alaska, and Westword in Denver.

She’s worked with UNICEF and has spent time volunteering at the border. She speaks fluent Spanish.
